The Department of CSE (Internet of Things) at ACE Engineering College was established with a sanctioned intake of 60 students to offer a specialised B.Tech programme that merges computer science fundamentals with IoT-driven applications. In today’s connected world, IoT has emerged as a revolutionary force across sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, smart cities, and automation. This department is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled professionals who can innovate, build, and manage intelligent systems through interconnected devices.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)
- Design and develop IoT-based applications using tools like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, cloud platforms, and IoT protocols.
- Apply knowledge of computer science and electronics to create intelligent, secure, and scalable interconnected systems.
Program Outcomes (POs)
- Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialisation to the solution of complex engineering problems.
- Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems to reach substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
- Design/Development of Solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
- Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
- Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

The CSE (IoT) Department offers extensive lab facilities that integrate both software and hardware for practical learning:
IoT Lab: Equipped with Raspberry Pi, Arduino kits, sensors, and actuators for end-to-end IoT application development.
Data Structures Lab:Programming practice in linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, and graph algorithms.
Java Programming Lab: GUI design, exception handling, multithreading, and object-oriented programming using NetBeans/Eclipse.
IT Workshop Lab: Hands-on experience in hardware assembly, dual OS installations, and basic troubleshooting.
Programming for Problem Solving Lab: Foundation in C programming covering control structures, functions, arrays, pointers, and file operations.
